In the spotlight - you and your story

How are you showing up in your business?

Do you share your stories, as part of your *why* and purpose, to capture people’s imagination and their emotional investment in what you do?

Do people get a sense of who you are, your journey and values, behind the awesome creations and impact that you offer? Do you draw upon your most hilarious or poignant or inspiring tales?

You have so much gold to offer!

I know, it can feel super awkward or vulnerable to share your story. Or perhaps you don’t quite know how to make it relevant or compelling for your audiences and clients. Maybe you prefer for your brilliant work to simply speak for itself.

However simply avoiding or minimising your storytelling is a story in itself. A tale of invisibility, indifference, confusion or misunderstanding. Which may make a magnificent work of art, but is hardly ideal in business...

We can’t escape stories but we can make the most of them, with some planning and practice!

Storytelling is so powerful as this is how we make sense of the world. Flux abounds, but narrative lends us a beginning, middle and end to everyday existence. We desire and create meaning in everything we perceive, and narrate our existence as soon as we start saying ‘I’...

I invite you to be intentional and strategic about creating and sharing your story!

Many are feeling the onslaught of all the information, marketing, education, entertainment and FOMO…

“A great storyteller helps people figure out not only what matters in the world, but also why it matters. A great storyteller dances up the ladder of understanding, from information to knowledge to wisdom.”

Maria Popova, 2014.

Let’s weave storytelling into your content strategy, to build authentic connection and insightful relationships with ideal clients, and to inspire and catalyse towards your vision.

I'd love to invite you to join a FREE webinar to help you connect and catalyse in business, on Wednesday 18 July!

“A great story is true. Not necessarily because it’s factual, but because it’s consistent and authentic. Consumers are too good at sniffing out inconsistencies for a marketer to get away with a story that’s just slapped on.”

 Seth Godin, 2006.

True. Plus with authenticity and strategy your great story can be created and shared in different ways. With video and visual storytelling, with written and spoken word, your facts and imagination. And you can remix and recycle this content across different channels and purposes!

I’ve created this new webinar based on a lifetime fascination with stories... With a Masters thesis on narrative, plus many years interviewing and supporting people to compellingly share their vision and journey in the public and community sectors. As an entrepreneur committed to contributing to our personal and biz development, our visibility and agency, towards co-creating positive change in our future. This program also draws on my creative background as an artist making video and performative works, and as a lover of great fictional and factual tales <3

I'd love to hear your perspective and ideas too! What is your story, and what do you love or loathe about sharing it with your business?
